Painting the chrome exhaust tip?

Not the actual exhaust tip, but the chrome piece that are attached to the bumper. Making it black will just make the car loooooooooook wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better in my opinion.

Has anybody done it? Did you just VHT paint? I have more experience with plati-dip. Do you guys think they can stand the heat?

Plasti Dipped mine in November 2019, still looks good after a few washes.
I did it with black + glossifier

Question for those that have taken the trim pieces off. Is the entire piece metal/aluminum or is there any plastic involved? If no plastic, my plan is to take them off and powder coat them. I figure sandblast the chrome and I should be good to go. I do my own Powder Coating, just need to decide on glass black, satin or flat.
