Just make sure it's installed correctly and start with Map 1, anything higher and you'll need better fuel than 91 or 93oct. Check to make sure your phone connects so you can switch maps and log if you want to and then let it adapt for a few wide open throttle pulls and you should be good to go

If you have any issues for any reason you can send logs to the support page on the n54 forum. Also if you want to create a custom map 6 you'll need to make adjustments and then send the logs to see that everything is running within safe parameters. Once you install the JB4 and the EWG cables for wastegate control you can run map 2 with a few gallons of e85 mixed in or 100oct so you're above 91-93oct, you can run map 1 with 91-93oct and you dont have to connect the EWG just OBDII and TMAPS but it's recommended to install the EWG's.

What in the ass are you talking about? Even if you don't have the JB4 you have wires in the engine bay, cause you know, it's an engine bay.

No more than 20% from what i have understood about the limitations of the F90 fuel system. Your tank is 20 gallons so 16 of 91-93 and 4 gallons of E85 would be the max, i usually put in 3 gallons and i have been running map 2 flawlessly for months now with that mix.

Most running ethanol blends are shooting for e30.

The trick is knowing how much ethanol is actually in the fuel source you're using. I have some pumps nearby that specify they are e85, but have a disclaimer stating they could actually be 60-83% percent ethanol. So, I use the calculator at the below link. For every 10 gallons of 93 octane, I use 6 gallons of pump 'e85'. If the 'e85' only has a true ethanol content of 65%, that puts my mix at e31. If the fuel actually has an ethanol content of 80%, that puts me at e36.

I've been running this way for a long while. Many logs, many reviews with tuners, car runs healthy.

I did run a couple of tests using e98 from a pail (exactly 98% ethanol content). No real difference in performance or logs.

Absurd and myopic viewpoint.

// that's "used to... ", by the way. With such attention to detail, I'll be sure to weigh your input with appropriate value.

Thanks for the link. Need to get one of those. Ultimately waiting on someone to develop a kit for the car for live monitoring....hoping that happens soon. That's great that your pump is right at 85%....certainly not the norm, but would be welcomed! What brand station is it?

It's a Chevron station, the other one i tested was a little ways away from me before the closer one started getting E85, that one also was a little over 85% and was a Chevron selling Pearson E85.
