Losing confidence in local dealer
Rick Hill BMW....Kingsport, TN
Right front wheel repair x 2 - still feels rough and oversprayed Right rear wheel flat, tire replaced - dealer scratched wheel and repaired it with same unsatisfactory result. Lots of overspray on wheel ans clearcoat just not right. Car returned with dirt on seat and armrest every time. I suggested they put plastic cover over seat and paper mat on floor like the General Motors dealership, and they about laughed me out of the building. I guess i will have to go to Asheville or Knoxville for service. Any thoughts? |

Hate to tell you this but almost everyone on this board hates going to the dealerships. I am one of those and it is very rarely that I go to a dealership and don't feel like they are trying to pull one on me. I went in to have light bulb work done, waited an hour and a half on them to fix an angel eye and came out got in my car and the damn warning light was still on. This was after I had brought it in a previous time for the same thing and they had to order "new sockets", turns out the second time when I was in they didn't replace my sockets and that was the problem.

I suggest you loose the confidence completely so that you don't get disappointed in the future... I also suggest you become less obsessive about the car... I have been and know how you feel but unless you learn to let little things go that car is going to be more of a head ache than an enjoyment.

I hate going there, everytime I pick up my car grease monkey gets his finger prints in my car. Beige interior. Last time there was a water dried drip stain on my start button that dripped all the way down to my floor. Who are these mechanics?

my service advisor is cool as shit also. I have a feeling that some of you guys who hate dealerships are probably dicks when you enter
Me and my service advisor are on a personal level. I ask about his family and he asks about mine and takes care of me with no questions asked. My car is obviously slammed and can't be lifted on a regular lift and he makes sure his guys use floor jacks to lift my car when their doing work and he also doesn't mind my mods
