Jbl ms8 to another dsp

So I’ve had a pretty rough run trying to get my system operating like it should have a ‘10 328i that started as a base system prior owner had technic do a install of a jbl ms8 jl200/2, dsl r4’s for the door and vibe slicks for the center and rear sws8’s for under seat. Since I’ve added a jl 600/6 to power the vibes and dsl. I have a issue with jbl shutting down like it’s overheating no matter the temp and it’s random and hard to replicate while looking at it. I am looking at removing the ms8 for maybe a helix dsp.3 or a mk2 pro I have rear door cards with speakers and have debated adding them into the system. Suggestions would be appreciated anyone had experience removing a jbl to replace it?

Your JL Audio 6 channel amp should be able to power all the speakers in the system less minus the subs.

If your goal is to "only" replace the JBL MS-8, then two of the three below will do a very good job of that.

If your goal is to replace the amp & the JBL MS-8, then the more expensive JL Audio Amp/ processor will do a great job.

However, I'd first look into the other amps VB like Helix etc., that are made for the e90, which feature an amp/ processor, before deciding on the JL Audio version: they are PnP. The JL Audio version will take some tuning to get it to sound just as good if not better.

Sometimes Crutchfield is a good place to shop. A lot of times, you can get it cheaper elsewhere.

Crutchfield serves a GREAT resource for the most part.
