I really like it too! And the front... The more I see it the more I love it!

It's also now available in the configurator https://www.bmw.co.uk/en/all-models/4-series.html

I also like it from all angles

What's to reveal really.

Seen the grill
Seen the rear
Seen the interior

Yesterday saw the side profile so yup it's confirmed. Looks pretty good as expected. It's about 3 inches shorter than an F10 though rear overhang is a bit much but generally nice and yes, G23 will be interesting.

Ah the seatbelt butler picture was new and it has one. Lots of M Performance parts to come for it too.

Main thread is funny reading.

I don't need to look at the main thread to know the comments..

No manual

No V8

No RWD for M440i

Grill too big

Not an E46

Interior not different enough from the 3

Too many lines and fussy design

Have I missed anything?

I actually like it, grill and all.

This or the GC will hopefully be my next car.

I like that a lot more than I expected to. Moving away from the fabric roof of my E46 to the metal folding hard top ever since has always turned me off the modern day equivalent of mine. Given that they're bringing the fabric roof back for this one though I think it'll be turning my head! As ever though, needs to be seen in the flesh to truly judge. Tanzanite blue shows it in its best light I think.

That said, just spec'd up an M440i to my liking and it's £63k worth of car!

Yep I’m a fabric roof fan, they just look so much more elegant with the added bonus I’m assuming of weight saving.

And the front end is actually in keeping with BMWs of old!

Well the inside looks almost exactly the same as my Z4, and as my Dad always said - you don't see the outside when you're driving, so if I needed 4 seats I might be tempted.

Thankfully, I don't.

£45k for the 420i in the spec I'd be happy with.

I think the No plate bang in middle kind of ruins the look.. Not sure if they could have done it lower or to the side like an Alpha?

Disappointed in the colour choices in the configurator, no greens, reds or oranges in there, even as a higher priced option. And even the standard choices seem a lot more limited than normal. I wonder if there’s more to come?

I'm hoping a lightly specced M440i with the help of my friends at Park Lane will be affordable on the monthlies.

It is very expensive though.

Based on a quick look, that seems to be about 25% more expensive than a similar spec 440i - that seems like a big jump to me. Add in the no-deal 10% tariff and I can't see them shifting many without some hefty discounts.

I could easily take one in standard spec without adding anything at all. Will keep an eye on the deals at the end of this year.

For quite a lot the list price means nothing. If they can keep the monthlies the same with a combination of higher gfr, lower interest and decent discounts then it still might be doable. Fingers crossed.

My 440i was about £10k list cheaper than my X3, but payments are the same.

Its lovely.......until you see the grill.

TBH as my car has not moved for 3 months so it's pretty irelevant anyway, the days of spending big on cars may be over.
