I own it, never really use it because it isn't the greatest.

What are you expecting? If it is a REAL factory service manual, you can't go wrong.

I am waiting to get one when 2008 is available.

I saw this way back. I'd rather wait for the bentley book.

Okay, I'm going to post this again because it keeps coming up...

BMW sells the service DVDs for freakishly huge amounts of money. Copies on eBay with a "Buy it Now" of $13.99 are obviously pirated.

Why would you pay money to some random dude for a pirated copy? Why not just download it yourself? Google can help you with links.

Are they same thing, or a short version?

I've never heard of a "short version" -- generally people who post pirated content try to be as complete as possible just on the principle of the thing. All the ones I've seen have been full DVD images.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not advocating pirating content instead of purchasing it legitimately -- but in this case you're pirating it either way so you might as well cut out the middle man.

I used Bentley book often. They are Ok if it were the only source. To me, you can't beat the details of the manufactory service manual. May be it is a bit hard to read and find info. But it should be the best for the professionals. I own all OEM service manuals for all my cars and trucks, except my E30.
