Hi all,

Just had a question. My uncles G05 X5 has acoustic locking and what I mean is a blip from the car to say it's locked and 2 blips to say it's unlocked. I really like this feature a lot and was wondering if it's applicable for a 2019 X4 M40d? Does anyone in the UK have this feature?

you've got to code it in - in bimmercode there's an option in the headunit and also the roof module that needs changing, then you get a tick box toggle in the settings that controls it.

It's off by default in all UK cars, but like you i find it very useful. saved me the other week when i'd left my passenger door wide open, and couldnt figure out with it wasnt bleeping till i walked around the car

No idea how my uncle has it then. He's not interested in cars so no way in a million years would he have it coded in? Maybe it's new productions. Not a clue. Either way I will be having this feature some way or another.

The option is there by default on the X5 (and 3 series) but not the X3 for some strange reason.

Probably because the X5 and 3 have idrive 7

Yep, no option for it on my 2020 X3 with iDrive 7 either.
