Thanks for the all of comments guys. I hope it helps someone out when they decide to do some of the things I have done, coming from the VW world where there is a DIY for everything, I found that there are not as many from BMW owners.

It is my wife's car but since it is also the family car I have to drive it on the weekends......and the entire family enjoys the mods when we go on road trips in the mountains My wife actually asked for the exhaust, she loved the GHL exhaust on her old Jetta Turbo which was pretty loud and has missed that car for a while. We were looking at E46 M3s earlier this year but the sway bars fixed the handling issues that prompted us to look into that. My Z4M gets an almost equal amount of attention during the week but since I work at home does not accrue the miles we put on the 335. Quote:

All that and he didn't change the wheels?
Good site anyways.

Maybe at some point, currently this is the "family car" that gets driven to fields where my kids play soccer, etc. so I don't want to have my wife worried about damaging wheels.

what a great find...
anyone know the difference between his "golf tee mod" and the one's listed on this forum? It seems his consisted of a little bit more work... can anyone comment?

No problem, I would like to put some nicer wheels on it but I am so AR about things my wife would probably be a nervous wreck. She is pretty good about not curbing the current wheels and keeping the car clean, and has actually "evolved" into an enthusiast since we started dating 15 years ago, she actually likes to go on the drives and attend the shows so I try to cut her a little slack

+1 on the page-appreciation btw. It's a nice writeup on the evolution of a 335i. I think it's the first one I've seen on an E9x, too.

Great job wrh3! Can you tell us a bit more about your experience with the sway bars? There's been a lot of discussion on the board about them lately and lots of folks are saying that they can be a problem if they're too big - especially the rear. Sounds like the main issue is that it will cause too much unweighting of the inside rear tire in corners and you'll get wheel spin. My thought is that this would only be a problem on the race track or if you take all your corners at 9/10ths and that most of the time you'll just get that great flat cornering experience. What's your experienced take?

I have actually found the H&R bars to have a great balance. The day they were installed we drove through the mountains to Tennessee and on the way home hit Devil's Triangle, Cherohala Skyway, Tail of the Dragon, Hellbender and Wolfpen Gap and the car did great.
It still will understeer when pushed to the limits but no where near the plowing it did when OE. I do think it's important to install the bars as a set rather than just the rear to obtain the balance that H&R was shooting for when designing the bars. FWIW, the H&R rear bar is the same size as the OE e90 M3 bar
