Hey that broke on my car one time to...But only once and they replaced it for free. I think though the reason was that at that time i had 2 12' subs just tryin them out and the gas cover, or what ever you want to call was rattleing a lot so i held it and thats when it broke

Hmm... I don't have to push mine shut, I just close the door and it sticks, I only push to open it

You will have to push to open it and close it, if you lock you car when you are fueling gas, you cant locked the fuel tank door till you unlock your car again. |

E91's don't have this problem. But they're built to a higher standard.

Mine has broken 5 times already. I think that is may have something to do with the subwoofer in my trunk. I believe the heavy vibrations may destroy the internals of the cam in a short period of time.... PITA

what if mine broke and i took back to dealership with my 12w7 and a 1000 watt amp in there would they blame the sub or will they just give me another free change.

I have only heard of that mechanism breaking from stereo woofers...It has to be the vibrations for sure...You guys need to get some sound proofing in the trunk to eliminate vibrations and rattles from subwoofers!

They can't prove is was from anything you may have done. 2 times I just drove into service without an appointment and made them change it right as I watched. They don't even open the trunk or care why it failed. Obviously it's a known issue and a POS design. If it breaks one more time, I'm just going to cut the end of the actuator off so the door stays flush and I'll have to open it with my fingers....
