Im trying to replace the intake tube while keeping the stock box with one of those Williams Performance tubes. How the heck are people reaching the lower clamp?

I think I tried to use a swivel extension but then found an angle on it after about 15 minutes with just a smaller ratchet and managed to get it off. It is pretty annoying though

I didn't even use a ratchet. I put the 7mm socket + short extension and unscrewed it with my fingers. Basically make it like a small screw driver. it's not that tight.
