Catless DP's and Emissions Inspection
How do you guys with DP's get your certificate each year? I was thinking about getting catless DP's and leaving the others intact. Should that be enough to pass inspection?

Depends, you will also need the simulator otherwise you will throw a CEL. With that CEL set, you will not pass. In Georgia, they only do CEL and gas cap checks on 1996 and up vehicles. There is no sniffer.

as with what others have said in the thread, i believe you will need an O2 simulator to pass emissions.
we do have Riss Racing catless coated downpipes and O2 sims in stock if you choose to go down that route! PM me if you want more info

Same here in NC, and back home in NY as of the past few years. With that said, I know that a local member with a 335i with o2 sims and no kind of CEL couldn't get his car to pass because it wouldn't show that it was "ready" when hooked up to the inspection computer. I still have the cats on my 335 so I have no personal experience with this, but on my previous catless car it was pretty easy to pass as long as there was no CEL.

That is why I would like to have the confirmation of failing in the sniffer. You can try to e.g. drive the remaining cats very hot before the test. (every other year in some distant countries)

Here in NJ they test through the obd as well. However, when you get a new car here it comes with a four year inspection so your good for a while. Then it's every two years after that.
