435 Rotors

Just wondering what rotors would be best to minimize the break dust. I have akebono break pads already but my rims still get a lot of break dust. Heard stoptech works well. any other recommendations

Break dust is generated by the bias towards softer break pads and harder rotors. To reduce noise / brake squeal and maintain aggressive initial bite, BMW prefers softer OEM pads by design.

Brake dust is evidence of brake pads and rotors meeting together and working well.

If you want less brake dust, different brake pads would have to considered.

How important is the initial bite for you?

Is it weird that my rear rims have less brake dust than my front? I have OEM beak rotors in the back and different mfg rotors in the front. Same brake pads for both front and back.

I bought akebono pads bc they give less dust. I dont care so much about initial bite.

What front rotors does your car have: brand, smooth, or drilled / slotted?

no because brake bias is towards the front.
