Bluetooth Grayed Out

Hello all! I am new to the BMW family. I have a 2011 528i. When I bought the car the Bluetooth wouldn't connect to anything. Just showed the please wait screen. When I went to the telephone options I noticed that Bluetooth was grayed out and I wasn't able to select it. I also got the SOS malfunction. I took it to the dealer service center and they said it looked like my TCU went bad and it'd be $1400. I ended up getting one on eBay for $100. After switching it out I realized that I changed out the MULF not the TCU. I just got the actual TCU and tried to switch those out. Bluetooth still isn't working and SOS is still malfunctioned. Also now my AUX is set at the lowest volume and no way to change it. I've read where people have said something about needing to code it? I got Carly and played around with it but there wasn't an option for anything involving the TCU. Also now my driver restrain system is malfunctioning too after playing with that section. I tried to restore it to the backup and it's saying it won't load properly. Very frustrating. I've emailed Carly support and hoping to receive an answer tomorrow. I've been researching and buying all kinds of stuff to try and figure this out for a month now. Can someone please help me?!

Hi jayyennarr your issue sounds pretty similar to what I am getting on my 2013 120d.. everything is fine but bluetooth is greyed out, and my iDrive reboots every 2 minutes or so whilst driving! This started a few weeks ago, ever since I was trying to connect my phone one time as normal.. can't seem to find any working solutions online, except an expensive trip to the dealer or a specialist. Extremely frustrating!

Did you ever find a solution?
