330i 6MT: What am I giving up by not having Sports Package?

I found a CPO 330i 6MT that I might be interested in but it does not have Sports Package - what am I giving up besides the wheels, steering wheel, and suspension?

I dont mind not having the wheels and suspension as I plan to lower and get aftermarket wheels for whatever car I buy anyway... What is the difference in steering wheels, any links to pics? Thanks in advance.

^^^ What do you mean by "tighter"? Is it that the steering feels tighter because of the suspension?

it's just an electronic limiter. the engine is the same. you can have the limiter removed by a skilled mechanic.

So how many times have any of you gone upto 155MPH or even 135 for that matter? haha I have a feeling the car would be really huffing and puffing to get there and it might take a minute (literally) to see that type of speed... I dont think I'd remove it anyway as I am sure it would void my warranty!

The seats would be a point of interest though - I really liked how the seats were in the 335i w/ZSP that I test drove a coupe years ago...

sport package seats are reason enough to get the package. They are awesome.

No ZSP would be a deal-breaker for me, just because of the seats alone. But with the 6MT, the 3 is so balanced with ZSP because of the suspension....and for some reason that sport steering wheel makes a huge difference.

SEATS! The seats are the biggest issue. The ZSP steering wheel is better, too. Suspension is like 1/2" lower (not much). 162 wheels are way more attractive than the non-ZSP wheels.

Also, the question above about the electronic speed limiter -- it's higher for ZSP because the tires equipped with ZSP are rated for higher speed.

compare seats and steering wheel of the 330 you want to buy with the 3 series that has zsp and you'll see the difference.

The seats and the limiter are things that can't be replaced without serious money involved. Those alone warrant the purchase of the ZSP package.

You could buy an //M steering wheel, aftermarket suspension and good non-RFTs, but you can't buy new seats for cheap.

Its not faster, but because the sport package is outfitted with 168mph tires and the non sport package isnt the limiter is raised on the ZSP models.

They are both exact same in acceleration (non ZSP is probably a slight bit quicker due to lighter wheel and tire combo but barely noticeable).

Out of anything the best thing about the ZSP that is very hard to change in a non ZSP car is the seats.

You can change the wheels cheap, you can change the suspension cheap, but getting the seats are very hard to find, unless your not picky about heat or power.

I wouldn't go that far. They're good, could be better though. Much better.

To be 100% honest, I can careless about heated seats - I live in Ca. and dont deal with snow or anything and power is not that big of a deal since I will be the only one driving... Though I would like to have power seats, its not something I'd lose sleep over.

Then it makes it a little easier to find for sale when people convert to racing seats, or cars are totaled.

Still will not be cheap though.

swapping ZSP steering wheel and seats is probably close to the cost of getting the ZSP in the first place

I'd get the ZSP. If you plan to mod you can prob sell the wheels for ~$1400 and sell the suspension parts too, so you would more than cover the cost of the seat and steering wheel swap
