Oil change notification/light

How am I able to get rid of the little yellow car symbol/notification that states I have oil change in 1300 miles? I go to notification but nothing changes on dash.

Cheers

Ha! Mine just came up last week, also 1300 miles to go.

Sadly my car is currently doing about 20 miles a week so it may be a while.

You won't get rid of the orange car symbol until you have the oil service done and they reset the service indicator.

It's just a reminder symbol. Why not wait until they change your oil?

I just dont like the appearance of it but its not the end of the world. I also had a break in oil change at around 2500 miles out of pocket, so this "first" scheduled oil change is less of a priority but still will be done accordingly.

cheers

Unless you had it changed at a non BMW service station, they should've reset it. I brought mine in for a break in oil change at about 2800. I prefer to have BMW do it since it's included in my warranty and they let me drive around a loaner.

You wait until the oil is serviced. You can get the oil service done when it's yellow. Go in for service if it bothers you that much. You should be glad it's there every time you start the car.

People complained that they didn't know their oil service was due so you can thank them for it. Even though it's always in the service menu counting down....
