Trunk size in Sedan

Can someone tell me what is the size of trunk in the sedan (__inch x __inch x __inch)? All specs show 12 cubic feet, but that doesn't help much. I am going to Munich next month to pick up my bmw and I am trying to figure out which suitecases to take so they fit easily in the trunk. The trunk size should be the same as the current. So if someone could measure for me, I would greatly appreciate.

Thanks!

It's not as simple because it isn't a square area.

But you could estimate it 3.0' (36") deep, 1.6' (19.5") high and 4.4' (52.5", in front of wheel wells) to 3.0' (36", between wheel wells) wide.

Good luck. Bon voyage.

You may want to hit up your dealership and check out the luggage space - you could test out your luggage in the showroom, maybe get a strange look or two, but your salesman would surely be cool with that. My wife and I ended up with two suitcases in the back seats since it was just the two of us, and three weeks of stuff (including her wedding dress).

Thanks for replies. I feel bad coming to local dealer. I went there once to test drive vehicle, but after all bought a vehicle from one of the site sponsors. The above estimate should do it. Thanks again!

Oh, yeah I guess my recommendation might not work then. But I'm sure you'll have a great trip!

if you have split folding rear seats, don't worry about the luggage - if you don't, put one in the trunk, one in the rear seat

I find it a bit small for a car of that level on the sedan. That's one of the reasons I went for the e91 instead.

trunk isn't that big. it looks big/long from the back but if you have a box/lugg/item that is a little taller than normal and big in width, forget it. Although it seems you got enough room, the trunk entrance is kind of narrow that it will prevent the item from sitting in.

Looks like back seat will have to be used to transport lugage. I am moving from SUV so will have to get used to small trunk. Thanks for replies.
