Will I be charged for Apple Car Play?

Recently picked up an '18 X3 with Apple Car Play which is working fine. I have not yet notified BMW that the warranty has been transferred to me.

Will I be charged for using Apple Car Play when I have the warranty transferred?

Is there any way to avoid that?

It's free. You shouldn't get charged

CarPlay is part of a vehicle, nothing to do with the owner. So yes, it will work without any problem. Although I'm not sure, how it is with the subscription in MY18 cars.

Apple Car Play

I understand that the payment policy has changed with the model year. Mine is an '18 but I don't know what the initial charge was or the charge for warranty transfer.

I had the impression or read somewhere on the forum that while there's no charge for ACP, it's not transferrable?

Apple Car Play

Got the answer from BMW. In my situation, there is no charge.

There was never a subscription on 2018 X3s, it started with 2019s and then BMW removed it after much backlash.
