I'm so confused (New Pics)
After owning my E46 M3 for only 4 months I am trading it in and picking up a e92 335i tomorrow. The funny part is that when I was in Iraq I ordered a 08 335i and canceled it when I got back because I really wanted an M3. I am gonna miss the rawness of the M but the gobs of tq the 335i has makes up for it a little bit. So congrats to me on finally making up my mind, hopefully I will be holding onto this car for a while. My wife don't believe that but heres wishful thinking.
Just thought I would update with some pictures. Last edited by Terrance28; 09-13-2008 at 08:30 PM.. |

Yeah thats basically what I told my wife my excuse was. I told her its cheaper to mod & I can get more power in a 335i than an M.

I think you may think that it was a e92 M, haha it was a E46 M. I updated my original post.

congrad and good choice. E46 M3 was always my love but after owning my 335i then drove my buddy's E46 M3 recently, i have no regret. to me, its actually night and day just how much smoother and "better" my car feels. M3 is RAW, and if that's what you are looking for, then might wanna stick with M3. normal driving/occassional spirited driving, 335 takes the cake. M3 is a beast when it comes to high speed and on the track. however, with some mods on the 335, u'll blow it away - add some lsd and suspension, and u'll out track it.

Congrats on the new purchase. The 335 is really nice, but if you enjoyed the raw feel of the E46 M3, then you're gonna end up yearning for it again. At least that was the case with me. Either way, both cars are great so it's a win-win for you.

Well my plan for now is to hold onto it for a while and get a e92 M. But I am still planning on keeping the 335i

How much did you lose on the M3 trade. I can't imagine you got away with less then a 15,000 dollar hit. Now your going to take the same hit on the 335 when you drive it off the lot. It would have been much more cost effective over time to keep the M3. Your overall cost of ownership would have been less.

My only gripe is that it doesn't have an oil cooler. Guess i'll just keep bugging the dealer about my oil temps until they put one in.
