At my local dealership servicing my vehicle. Check out what I found!! Super striking and beautiful. A little dirty, but looks so good. I like that it comes with Michelins and not the Pirellis. You still have to straddle the middle console in the middle seat in the rear (AC console like in the F06), but at least the seatbelt looks like it'll fit a young adult, not half of a human like the F06.

I understand I posted this on a F90 forum, which is what I have. So sorry, just sharing my find but better question, do you like this better than the F90? I love my F90, but I came from a M6GC, so having a little nostalgia.

Doesn't have the good looks of a real coupe, and doesn't have the practicality of a real sedan. The worst of both worlds.

Love my M5. I think the new Audi S7/RS7 looks better than the M850/M8.

my preference here: m5c > this > amg GT
Cost wise it goes like: amg GT > This > m5c

rarely if ever does that happen in my life, lol.

I also had the M6 GC, I feel it was more aggressive looking than the M8 GC. I don’t feel the GC is as aggressive as the normal M8 coupe. For 150k I’m buying a Bentley, though.

OP, have you take a look on what I've done on one?
It is pretty much an F90 M5 with different clothing.

If you get the M8 Grand coupe it has to be lease only. These cars are going to drop like a rock in value. And, as I have said many times on this board, never BUY the first year of a new M Car. NEVER.

I agree.
On the looks front, I disagree but it's subjective. Utility wise, yup—nowhere near as large a trunk as the M5.

The way the M8C GC makes you feel, though, is a big step up.

My personal opinion of the M8 GC is for one that doesnt need the rear and boot space for everyday use. It is a come in handy thing when owner needs the space once in awhile and yet have the sleekness of a coupe.

The M5 sedan however is for everyday practicality where u need both the rear and boot space on a daily if not more frequent basis.

Different target market I would say.

Anyhow, I would say both are very nice fast cars

I greatly prefer the M5C although there are things about the M8C I like. The new center console looks cheap though. Do not want.
Don't like the profile or the shitty rear view from inside either. Rear view from outside also not great.
Front view does look great, and front quarter view is very nice.
Still...wouldn't give up my M5C for one. Thank God too...I don't need another car in my sights. #AlreadyDrivingMyDreamCar

I can't even begin to follow what you're talking about--the interior is literally all alluminium and leather... not faux, the real McCoy. The quality bump between the two is palpable the moment you get in one. I'm a MASSIVE M5 fan--I've had 5 of them--but I can't even begin to understand your comments having 1) driven F90 M5s for 30,000 miles in total and 2) spent the last 4 days driving an M8C GC 2,000 miles back home. Why do you say the rear view is compromised, it's not remotely compromised--it never even me occurred to me to question it. Where do you get this stuff? Really, where? Have you even driven one?

Ahhh, I see--you've already answered my (albeit rhetorical) questions above.

I didn't say anything about "the interior", I said I don't like the center console...because I don't. It look overly plastic and cheap. I don't see it as an upgrade and it's unbefitting a vehicle at that price point. I just drove a loaner 340 that looked almost identical in that area. Obviously the M8 interior is generally very well finished...it should go without saying...but that plastic shifter area needs work IMO. You like it? Great. Enjoy it.
The view thru the rear window when I sat in it seemed very much like the M6, which I have driven and which sucks.
No insult was intended toward your new toy. I hope you enjoy it in good health.
If nothing else I'm sure the star that is the M8 forum will shine that much more brightly from your continuing input. 😀
