BMW M5 850RWHP Cost?

Long story short I would like to build the 2020 M5 Comp to 850 RWHP. However I have two questions what shop do you guys recommend? 2. What do you guys think the cost of this would be?

While there are multiple current and prior M4 owners here, this is the F90 forum and I suggest you post this in the F8X section.

I'm not sure either as it's never been on a dyno

With my race file loaded up it's possible I'm running 900 give or take at the crank but that would not last. My daily files are much more conservative and I drive pretty conservative when I'm not actually doing a 1/4 mile run.

To build 850 to the wheel would require turbos, meth, full bolt ons and a rebuilt motor as you're talking close to 1000 crank horsepower and bolts on's and turbos alone aren't going to do that and if they did the internals wouldn't last very long at all.

Nice! I am amazed the ZF8 handles that.

yea, I saw that as well. He has hybrid turbos. His video has a big echo, sounds like it's in a tin can. I'm guessing he removed seats, door panels, speakers etc. Still crazy fast though

I did. Which means he's not using launch control and he still ran that 9–wow. I wonder if LC is overwhelmed by the power since I'm mine, it accounts for a reliable 2 or 3/10ths.

hes in D3 and just stalls it up and goes. shifts are fast, really fast. so it likely has a tcu tune too

I'm sure it does, I know a few guys do them but not on 2020's
A friend of mine in Korea just ran a 9.8 last night and he has a TCU tune and said hit shifts at a much higher RPM and he saves a 0.03 per shift because of it.

yeah and 4 shifts so... 0.12s right there. i think it make a big difference in the 330ft times due to early upshifts. i havent had my car in warm weather yet. but in this cold a lot of times it will shift to 2nd very early and then break traction in 2nd and early upshift to 3rd at which point you can notice a slowdown in momentum.

Hmmm, I don't agree. I can hear how long the drivetrain:shift delay is—LC's ZF shift pattern is distinct and mechanically far-faster by design; it also sounds totally different.
