Thanks for the reply I've got the base stereo and it's been coded to hifi I've mounted the amp on the back of the seat in the boot and connected the power cable to the battery and the ground to the earth point on the rear wheel where the earth points are I've tried it to the negative on the battery and it still can not get very good reception

Hi yes 100% coded to hi fi as the rear parking sensor sound went quiet what do you mean by separate the parallel connection between the doors
Yes I've ran the 2 underseat subs seperate to amp Also if I've had the headunit coded that would lower the voltage to 5v so would I have to change it on the amp as its set to 8v Last edited by mikeywarduk; 03-08-2020 at 05:02 PM.. |

The Front Door Speakers are wired in parallel with the underseat
speakers in the base system . Either at the connector to the under seat speaker or in the Door Sills depending on the Year of the Car. The speaker output from the head unit is speaker out that means no common ground on what was formally the speaker lines. Some amps only accept single ended common ground signals. Basicly the speaker lines from the head unit are reduced to 5 volts . This is called a differential output. Your amp must be capable of accepting this type of double ended signal. I've ran the underseat subs seperate they go straight to the amp as I've got aftermarket subs installed I've had it coded to hifi which changes it to 5 v and on the amp its set to 8v would that need to be changed as it goes for 8v to 0.3v

You never said how your Inputs were wired.(speaker outs or RCA)
You have not established that the Blaupunkt accepts double ended Inputs on the RCA's if you are using those. You should call the Balu Punct number and establish that. |

It's speaker wired ( loom that connects to the back of the headunit then goes to the amp) as I haven't got any rca connected and their is no rca outputs on the headunit as it a factory idrive

So you have raw wiring from the head unit (+/- wires from each speaker/head output) going into terminal's on the amp. Going into the high level inputs
or the low level inputs on the amp (or does it have terminal's for both of those.) Is the ground at the head unit to chassis ground good. |

doesn't make any sense . Try just disconnecting the inputs not letting
them touch. Trying to fix something that's not broken or related by putting a patch on it is not rational. If it was me I would try an isolating level shifter before trying to fix anything in the radio that you know is working. Also I would call blaupunkt and see if they can help you. |
