Goin' to the Carwash (loud noises)
I don't know if any of you have had this problem, but (if so) I'd like to hear from you.
I picked up my e90 328i on Aug 16 (love it!), and (I know, I know) just took it through the car wash for the first time this morning. This car wash is the fully automated sort that also dries the car with high pressure blowers. Coming through the end of the wash tunnel to the dryer, I noticed very loud noises. I looked at the hood of the car, and I could see the metal denting (then correcting itself) under the pressure of the dryer (thus the noise). I also heard this noise overhead. After the wash, no permanent damage. Anyone else, or did I just get an e90 made with thin metal? |

Um... I'd avoid that particular wash in the future.
But yes, when removing wax or giving a vigorous washing I will sometimes oilcan the hood with my hand... it is thin.
