Did most Europe M5 non-Comps come with black exhaust tips stock?

It seems that I've seen a ton of pics of M5's in Europe....and most have the gloss black exhaust tips that are on the Comp here instead of the standard chrome we get here on the non-Comp models.

Any reason they did that?

I suspect most were optioned with the sports exhaust which has black tips.

In Asia, Singapore F90 Comp come with black exhuast tips. non comp cars are chrome. m sport exhuast exhuast option should have standard black exhuast tips I think?

I used to collect stats on all M5's until August/September 2019, then gave up because BMW changed how they did VIN numbering making it too much work to find M5's.

In that time, I indexed 8,643 European/Rest Of The World F90 non comp models, 5,150 of which had option 1MA "M Sport Exhaust" which added the black tips.

In the same time period, there were 3,741 comp models.

So, of the 12,384 Europe/ROTW cars I indexed 8,891 (or 72%) of the cars would have had the black tips.

For the USA, there were 3,171 cars with the standard exhaust, 504 with the sports exhaust and 2,828 comp cars, so 3,332 (or 56%) had the black tips.
