RIP: DGM Color

Just went on BMWusa.com to configure a 2009 ThreeSeries.

Deep Green Metalic is no longer an option, has been replaced by another shade of green. Glad I got in at the right time while it was still available!

When I was looking to get my E46 8 yr ago. My dealer had a brand new metallic green 99 328i sitting in their lot for over 1 yr and they tried so hard to sell me that with an aggressive 20% discount but I still rather pay 7k more and order a 00 black 328i. When I picked up my E46, the salesman told me the green one end up sent to aution and they will never never stock a green one!

I am a big fan of green, it's just a difficult color to maintain. I really really liked the greens from the E30 and E36 era, deep green was a good but not the best green.

My daily beater is a dark green Accord. Very hard to maintain as a daily car. However, when properly cleaned/waxed, the paint is gorgeous.

Green, champagne, brown, light blue...should never be purchased by individuals, but instead, are used as loaners so when you get back into your car you'll appreciate the color...

Indeed.

I don't even know why they offered green on the e90's...

I have never seen an e92 in that. The combo is actually kind of classy. Those are reflections and not scratches on the fender well aren't they? And you forgot black in your "go get" list.

I actually like the green. In fact, I've even seen a green e92 on the road. Looks good!

SG has been discontinued. Purple is not for today's BMW either, apparently.
