Yellow Engine warning light mean?

hey guys,

what does the yellow engine warning light mean?
Turbo problem? required service?

I had looked it up on the owner manual but its doesn't explain WTF does mean.

any body know the problems?

Do you know anyone with a scanner that can plug into the computer and grab the code and see what it says? Does it stay on the whole time, or just when it starts up, or what?

no one with scanner here.

Yes, just started yesterday when I step hard on the gas pedal on the left turn.

you're gonna have to take it to the dealer. you must have a malfunctioning sensor in your engine or something.

Go to a local autozone or whatever, buy a $10-20 scanner, plug it into the OBD port, and see what the problem is that way. Takes like 20 minutes.

on my old e46 m3 that had something to do with the emmissions from the exhaust. somtimes triggered by aftermarket exhaust especially after some "spirited" driving...

Well,yellow engine simbol indicate problems with engine!!!

Advice to you:stop,dont drive or go straight to BMW service ASAP!!

Yellow simbol is not urgent as red simbol,but however you should meet your BMW service very soon.

first signs of overheat if it shows in yellow.

sounds like a sensor or what not..maybe an 02 sensor...agreed on the autozone thing...or get them to scan it for you

FYI.

So, I took my car to dealer to have it fixed.

It has something to do with the "High pressure pump" they replaced it and working fines now.
