Mod or not to mod?
Just got my e90 328i. My first BMW and I love it. I want to mod it with new suspension(BMW performance kit), and intake(injen or maybe that new M-force coming soon) etc...but I plan on trading it about 4-5 years for a 335 perhaps. Would it be a waste to mod a car I might be trading in a few years?

Amen for the General!
Absolute minimum is to have a set of nice rims, lowering springs (or coilovers) is also a must. Not to mention about blacklines, black grille etc... The list is endless Those are all minor things to do and easy to take off when selling the car |

About how much will the value go down if you decide not to take it off? And installing OEM stuffs like the M-Kit considered a mod that will lower the value?

If you were going to mod it. You should haave added that money into the 328 and gotten a 335. If you're going to get a 335 soon just leave it stock and wait for the 335 and mod the 335. Just my 2cent.

do light mods like wheels and lowerin it.
keep the oem parts so u can reinstall them and resell the car. not a big deal i say. if u wanna mod, go for it, dont let others deter u from wat u wanna do to YOUR bmw.

About the only mods I was thinking about was the BMW perform. suspension and maybe an intake. An extra $1500 would not have gotten me the 335i. You think the value would go down with OEM BMW performance mods like the suspension and maybe the ssk?
