Hello! FINALLY! My New 2008 e92 335i

VERY excited. This is going to be my first new car. I traded in my 2000 RX300 with under 96000 miles. I was originally in the market for a 328i. However after a few months, I tried looking for a used 335i. Unfortunately, the pricing did not make sense. A USED Car Price + Interest on the car loan is actually more expensive than a NEW Car Price + 0.9 interest. It only seem logically to buy a new car I am pretty happy with my deal and monthly payment is perfect. I negotiate the sticker price of $51,445 to $48,650 for my 335i. Probably wasn't the best deal ever but I'm buying a coupe here and there weren't many left. What’s more is Ferman BMW gave me more on my trade than Bert Smith BMW in St. Pete. Additionally they also gave me floor mats, BMW stem valves, touch-up paint, 2x keychain, and a BMW Racing shirt lol.

Just picked it up today and oh boy!!! Can't wait until I break in the car!!

Anyway my car is option as such:
2008 335i Coupe
Black Sapphire Metallic
Black Dakota Leather w/ Aluminum trim (Don't like the trim too much, might swap with somebody)

Sports Package
Premium Package
Navigation
Sat. Radio
iPod and USB adapter
Comfort Access
Steptronic w/ Paddles

If I waited for the '09, I would have to pay a more due to Price increase, Logic7, Option Increase, and most likely a higher interest rate. Soo yeaa.. I like the 2008 iDrive perfectly fine, as it is nice, clean, and clutterfree.

If anyone cares, my buying experience went like this:

I first went to Bert Smith BMW in St Pete to take a look at the exact same option'd car located at Ferman BMW Palm Harbor.

Only problem was that Bert Smith's car was a manager DEMO car with 15xx miles and they still wanted to sell it at STICKER PRICE - (15 cent per miles = roughly $250). I felt really insulted dealing with their sales manager. On the other hand, My CA Joe DiMaggio was excellent in every field. I had no choice but to take my business elsewhere after being lowballed on my trade and their unwillingness to discount the car any further than STICKER - $250. I mean it was pretty close to closing time and being 19 years old, I probably didn’t look sincerely interested. This was all at Bert Smith BMW in St. Petersburg, FL.

The next morning, I went to Sonny's BBQ with my gf because I've been craving for BBQ lately. I had the lunch deal, was superb. Went to the bathroom after eating and unleash some fury(I figure you guys might like to know). Afterwards, I went across the street to Ferman BMW. Test drove the car with 22 miles on it. The car had 26 miles after my test drive. Negotiated and eventually brought it from Jamie at Ferman BMW. It was definitely a much more pleasurable experience than Bert Smiths. Only thing that got me mad was whilst we were negotiating, some bastard CA just grabs the key and let another customer test drive MY car. Well now I know it wasn't mine yet but we were pretty close to the number. WTF is up with that?!? Aside from that, everything was great. I checked the car before leaving and it had 29 miles >.< Getting the car right before my 20th birthday! My payment after dropping down $12k in cash is roughly $590.xx for 60 months. And no my parents is not buying it for me, however I did need them to co-sign due to my short length of credit history. I make more than enough to cover the monthly payment but yeah, I also had lack of car credit history too. My score is more than sufficient, NEVER been late on CC payments. Oh well at least this car will help me establish my credit furthermore, well it will when I pay it all off lol.

Minor mods and additions looking to complete:
1. Painted reflectors
2. Alarm
3. Coat Hanger
4. Pearlescent Chrome Brake Handle (Unless I can trade the aluminum trim to DARK BURL WALNUT)
5. Illuminated BMW Door Sills
6. Cargo Liner
7. ? Anything else?!?

THank you for reading my huge long post!! I am soo ecstatic right now.

- John

Now I shall provide awesome not professionaly taken pictures!

At Ferman BMW with my FIRST MOD!!!

This is me! Scared to drive off the lot!

Sorry for the blurry picture in the first set. It was taken at Lexus with my iPhone.

Nice, I thought I was the only 19 year old paying for his car! However, mine is a lease and had to have my brother co-sign the lease due to no credit history.

Good luck, have fun!

OH and great combo by the way. I wish my car came with aluminum trim instead of the wood.

I personally don't like the alumn trim but you will easily find someone from this forum to swap your alumn trim for the other 3 trims fyi. Grats on your new car.

A question, don´t be upset now.

Congrats on your purchase. Fermann is a great dealership to deal with As for your painted reflectors PM Longtran on here...mine came out great. You should also consider installing the SSTT for a nice moderate amount of performance.

YAY!

Thank you everyone for the kind welcome.

Mommadness: Thanks! Been reading the manual back and forth everyday LOL.

Twitchy: Ahah I know how that feels, I waited almost a year and half before I went ahead and got it.

e92k335i: Yay! I brought it pretty much for my 20th birthday. It's coming up in a week. The combo is definitely growing on me.

akack: Yea at first I didn't like it as much as the Dark Burl wood but it is definitely growing, might still swap it.

damadama: ahah I dunno, I went from an SUV to this. I just scraped the bottom of my front bumper today >.< I am going to start backing into the spot from now on.

BMWagain: I believe the car does have a slight hesitation when I accel. from a stop point. BUT it feels like the car is asking me to stomp on it and let it fly As for the turbolag, i really haven't driven the car the way I would like to yet. Still breaking it in, at 78 miles atm ahah. hope this helps. Awesome car nonetheless!!!

thekewl: ahah when i was negotiating I originally asked for TWO sets of floor mat so i have a spare when I'm shampooing the other. I was declined

method: Yea it's due to my crappy iphone camera. grainy and off color :/ It's a very attractive color in real life though. Black with a hint of whatever light hits it.

Joey: HAHA I wouldn't mind. Having porn shoot in my car ahaha jk jk

Everyone's kind word: THANK YOU!!!!

I am very satisfied with the way this car pulls away from start.
I have only testdriven a E91 and a E93 and impressions make a
