New car , new points
Morning all
Well had the car just over a week and yesterday had to do a 300 mile round trip to pick up a puppy . On the way down said to my wife this car could be dangerous to your license as it just cruises so well on the motorway , and when needed to overtake it just picks up speed so easily . Anyway on the way back was caught by a camera van ! I did know I was speeding so holding my hands up to that , I thought I was doing approx 80 mph but when I looked down it was more like 90 ! Oh well just have to wait to see what the postman delivers in the next few day . |

The speed warning is your friend set it at 85mph, I've had two close calls with mobile speed camera's they really are the devils work and always set up on nice long wide safe roads rather than accident black spots...I wonder why?

Consider cruise control as well...or a radar detector

I would concur OP, acceleration is savage even at motorway speeds in efficiency if you give the accelerator a prod.
God know what's its going to be like when the RIS is done and in sport plus with drivelogic 3 for example! The petrol gauge doesn't stay still for long I have a dash cam Garmin 66w with speed cams but I wonder for those with car play do you use Waze? Can the alerts come through the speakers? I say this as the car masks the motorway speed well and it's like oh dear how am I not processing the hud speedo Hope you don't get dinged OP |

On my test drive, I took the car onto a dual carriageway and nailed it down the slip road, I was doing over 100 and didn't realise since I glanced the speedo and thought the dial was at around 70
Speed warning chime set to license ban - 99mph!

I was able to reach ~167 mph on the PBIR road course (have the driver’s pack). Car remained stable even at those speeds, very predictable, with slight understeering, no bad surprises. Driving at those high speeds in an SUV feels unreal, because you sit so much higher off the ground. The only problem is that it eats tires like crazy.

So freakin' cute!
Our dogs go to the office with me almost daily. I've got a seat cover on the back seat, so they sit on that. I've also got covers on the back doors, so nothing gets scratched up. It's not the prettiest setup, but it works fine. They've got harnesses that buckle into the seat belts, but I really don't do a good job of using them. Will have to start for their safety.
