What are your most important features that you're looking for with these all season tires? Maximum treadwear, best handling, quietest ride?

hey gary, was expecting a response from the tire guru . here is my situation. i am living in NY so i get all 4 seasons. i want to change to aftermarket tires ONCE cause i don't want to spend money again in the future if i wanted to switch tires (need to buy all 4 matching again, etc and since the rears wear out faster than the fronts...)

i obviously don't drive when there is alot of snow but i want a tire that is great summer and can handle a little snow so i can get home safely if i start to see snow lets say. tread wear doesn't really bother me but i would like something decent not like the bridgestone re01r which go through like butter lol.

hopefully you get my catch? and i am switching rims so i am looking at a 235 front possibly 245 front as well and 265/275 rear setup.

I had Michelin Pilot Sport A/S on an '00 Grand Prix GTP and had Yoko ADVAN S4s on my E46 coupe. The Michelins were good, but that was a FWD car, so that's different. They had great dry weather grip. I really noticed the difference from the Goodyear RS-As I had on there before. And they were just fine in the winter, but, again, it was FWD.

I made it through a MICHIGAN winter with the ADVANS just fine in my E46 last winter. There were a couple times when I couldn't get up the slight grade into my apartment complex's driveway from the road, but that was when there were several inches of snow on the ground. Otherwise, they did fine. I also tracked the car in June and they worked fine, considering they were all season. I'd check into them if I were you - they were pretty highly rated in the Tire Rack's review grid.

If using the OE wheels (8" and 8.5") keep in mind that your max sizing on the rear is the OE 255/35R18. Moving to 235/40R18 up front is no problem. For your situation/needs I'd consider the Yokohama Advan S4 among the best options.
