Smile Vredestein Wintrac Extreme winter tires... any good?

Very aggressive prices ... might be interested. I'd like to hear if somebody has specific experience with this model or even brand (Not that tire Y is better!) TIA.

Vredestein Wintrac Xtreme is truly a high performance winter tire. These are V and W rated. I know these are a new design and haven't heard of anyone who has gotten them yet. I say just go with Nokian!

You bumped a three year old thread where no one had any experience with Vredesteins. I once had a set - but that was about 35 years ago, so google away...

Sorry, I forgot the link. Of course if we knew where you are and what you drive...

Vredestein makes great tires, just not much of a presence here in the US. I hear their winter tires are very good.

I"m running their Sessanta's on my turbo M3. Great tire, just not designed for this power level. Need something much stickier.

I've got the sessanta's on my 335 as well.
They are nice, but they don't hold up too well in first and 2nd gear under power.
Could just be this car has more than the tires can handle in first. I guess I'll find out at some point when I get a new set that is something else.
They ride nice and smooth and quiet though.

I just bought a set for my 2011 M3 and had them mounted saturday. So far I love them: low noise, good performance but no snow yet here in MN.

I've had nokians for the past 10 years: WRs, RSis, and WRG2s this past winter and summer. Loved those too with the RSis being the best in the snow - amazing really.

So far I like the Vreds best of all but thats without any snow : )
