Ouch! Your comment reminds me of when some Irish arse drove into my brand new Celica. His teenage son looked at the ruined wing, door and rear panel and said' to be sure, it just needs a lick'o paint!' He had to be removed from reach rather quickly.

As I recall it cost about a grand, I lost my no claims bonus, my premium went sky high the following year and despite my best efforts my insurance company gave up trying to claim after nearly 2 years due to him being an Irish citizen.
His initial explanation was that I had 'entered the roundabout at speed and for no reason decided to drive into the front end of his car!' My explanation: he wasn't observing the road markings, stated that he 'was following that fellow there', (another knob wit) and went straight ahead in a lane clearly marked as left turn only onto the motorway slip road and drove down the side of my shiny new coupe. The git. I was not best pleased as you might imagine.
