New to Me 2018 440 F33 (vert)
I recently received my 2018 F33 440 and noticed some interesting things about the interior. Please allow me to brag a bit on the car. I call it a unicorn with the set of options as I've been looking for a LCI F33 for months and this popped up - truly unique.
The CPO car is very well optioned, including M Sport, 704 19" wheels, adaptive LED, Active Cruise Control, Active Driver Assistant, Adaptive Suspension, wireless charging, Individual Merino leather interior, wrapped in a beautiful Estoril blue exterior. Interestingly, no Blind Spot Detection? I absolutely love the full leather interior and surprised by the variety of leathers used in various places of the interior: Kashmir Beige Merino leather (a bit darker than Oyster) on the seats (both front and back/pockets), head rests, door panels and arm rest on center console, lower dash board, glove box; Nappa on the hand brake lever; and Dakota on the dash and capping of the door trim side panels. This is not the same Dakota texture I had on my F10, but nice smooth leather. Since this is a convertible too, the leather has what BMW calls: "Sun Reflective Technology" I have no idea how effective it'll be here in Texas. Fun to be back in the sublime BMW inline six. Happy motoring guys! |

This thread is worthless without pics:
(these were taken from the dealer lot) My improvement list is long, some already installed. Okay, can you tell I'm excited about the car? No more 'promo' pics. |

The interior looks white in the pics, but it is more beige than white.
I looked all over for adaptive cruise too. The only options I wanted this car did not have was Blind Spot Detection and M Sport brakes. ACC and individual interior trumped BSD and brakes. Oh well, happy with the entire features/option combination. Regards, Dave |

Consensus here is the LCI LED rear lights do not support rear fog light. Appreciate your help. Don't know if your 340 will differ from my 440? Regards, Dave |

I coded mine and modified the button. I never checked to see if it worked. Will do it now and report back.

Congratulations on the beautiful convertible! I agree that the Adaptive Cruise is impossible to find. My wife and I searched for 2 years to find one in our colors and finally gave in and ordered a new one. It is a seriously great option in traffic and if you got the cold weather stuff like neck heaters it's very comfortable having the top down in the mid to low 40s.

That’s weird? I didn’t physically change anything in the back?
Maybe 2018 is different than 2016? |

On the rear fogs, I hear ya, however, my lights do not have the red strip next to the reverse lights. These would be noticeable to the naked eye. The plot thickens! Thanks guys for shedding light into this as I understood others have had difficulty coding the US LCI rear fogs. Best, Dave |
