So got my unicarscan from the UK today. I was able to get some codes done via BimmerCode. I removed seat bell chime. Turned off that pesky horn when I leave the car on in a cold winter day and lock the doors. No limit the rear or side or top cameras in motion. Best of all I got the M ambient color combo on as a selection instead of bronze. Basically the top light is red and the bottom is called cyan. It's the M blue and not the dark blue that comes standard in our ambient options. You can only code the bronze color option. I put up a photo. It is absolutely stunning and so much more at home driving at night in this M car. The entire dash and even the hot n cold buttons all match this combo. It just all works great together. This should really be a standard M ambient option. Anyway enjoy the pic. More coding to come.

Yeah, I’ll be doing ASD delete and getting rid of iDrive and camera warnings tomorrow. Will take a look at ambient lighting options, thanks.

I thought you had to use e-sys to change the light color. M colors look good. Didn't know it could be done with bimmercode. Would love to get the details on how you did it. Looks stunning!

Haven’t checked into it myself, but I would imagine that you can specify upper and lower color so you could take one of the existing two tone settings and change the color values to be a different combo of the available colors.

Never mind - re-read the OP post and it’s a different blue and only on the bronze setting. Will try it in the morning.

Here are step by step.
Connect the adapter and go to bimmercode and choose either x3 or x3m or x4.
Then it will load the ecu after a century time passes. Now under BODY DOMAIN CONTROLLER choose ambient lighting. There are two options there. Ambient Contour lighting is the top one and ambient lighting is bottom Portion. Top should be red. Bottom part should be cyan blue or cyan. I guess the blue hue is up to you guys. Change both and hit remap and wait another century. Now your bronze ambient setting is the new M Combo. It looks stunning in person. Trust me guys. By the way the cyan blue is so much nicer and brighter than standard blue it comes with. Enjoy.

These are the only ones you can use, option requires an "UniCarScan", "OBDLink" or ENET adapter.

Will have to purchase the ethernet adaptor to go with the OBD lead I already have. Thanks for your help.

Wow. Had no idea it was that easy with bimmercode. Have used it for lots of other settings but not this yet. Can't wait to recode the lights when I pick up the car in March.

I've just order a V Gate and I have downloaded Bimmercode. Is the perceived wisdom to wait until RIS? Are their warranty issues if I code?

I've coded at 900 miles and have not done my ris yet. I've been coding for years and zero warranty issues. If for some reason your ecu resets just recode again.

Thanks for that. I'm going to tweak the lighting and see how I get on. I'd like a noise when I lock the car too. Looks like a few options having had a look around the Bimmercode app.

Yeah, I tweaked my lock/unlock sound. Higher pitch, lower volume. Very discreet. I like it.

To my eyes the OP picture just looks like the BMW traditional orange on the top half which would make sense as it matches the HVAC control lighting, the blue looks to have changed but I don't see any red and if it was it wouldn't match the orange of the rest of the controls.
