Removing Vehicle From ConnectedDrive Account

Has anyone removed a vehicle from your ConnectedDrive account and added it back successfully?

Did the process go smooth?

Were all of your subscribed services still there?

Yes I have. I deleted and added back to my account no problem

Some claimed the re-addition needs to be done at the dealership as well following the ESA agreement?

My curiosity got the best of me.

I removed my X3 from the account.

Then went back in an clicked "Add New Vehicle".

Put in the VIN

Went to the car to retrieve the code that was sent.

Everything worked as it should. All my subscriptions are in there with the added bonus of Car Play until the year 2038.

The only this that does not work is the ConnectedDrive Store access from the vehicle. I can only access that from my PC. This was a problem before I removed and re-added the X3.

Cheers mate thanks for confirming. Glad to know a call / trip to the dealership is not required for it

Member Kevin Kay advised he could Add it back in via his cell phone but not via his laptop. So I tried using my cell, instead of my laptop, and it added it back in perfectly! The Connected Drive lady had advised me there is no way to add it back in unless you do it in connection with the dealer and re-executing the ESA. I see now that was not correct. Using the cell to add it back worked.

I have the same problem with the connected drive store. In my case it says subscription expired. My wifi hotspot was wierd also...worked for a full year...I had free wifi, then suddenly it quit.

Same here. Where in the iDrive is the Apple Carplay feature? Or is it since I have an android phone (S10+), that it won't show up?

Go to connect new device. It will be in there. I do not have an iPhone but I can see Apple Car Play in my iDrive.

I have done it. It is is only why I thought one could change your number plate / nickname (I was wrong). But you can delete and add multiples times.

Yeah!deleted iphone connected and connect new device on idrive,then apple carplay shows up, paired done!
