European spec E90 Spotted In NYC...Plus thumbs up..

So I was cruising around on Saturday On the Freeway (Grand Central Pkwy by Astoria for you Queens people) and I spotted a TiAg E90 on some Weird looking oem alloys and I pulled a lil closer to it and it also had dual tips but no chrome tips on it..Then I saw it had U.S Diplomat plates on it and when I pulled in front of it it also had the European Headlights (Xenons w/o the amber reflector) so I was like "oh shit..it's a real deal Euro E90"...pretty Useless thread but I thought some of you guys might find it interesting...And BTW another E90 owner in a Silver 330 was passing me by near Ft Totten on sunday and gave me the thumbs up..Was it anybody on this forum?...

Nice. Don't see many e90s by me and when I don't its usually going in the other direction. Always feels good to get a thubms up.

I see a few here in DC, including a couple of RHDs...they look like lower spec cars possibly 318s or 320s with halogens but clears (I believe they might have belonged to the UK and Irish missions). The philippines ambassador has a euro-spec e65. The austrian ambassador has a white e60 as the official car. I believe the Irish ambassador has a 750li Sport. BMWs as official ambassador cars are quite rare so I do notice them. The coolest ambassador cars (that I've seen) are Italy (green Maserati Quattroporte) and UK (black Rolls-Royce Phantom-what else?). Most of the diplomatic officers are able to order from Germany (diplomatic sales) with special specs not available to the US, like RHD for e.g. These are cars they intend to take back once their postings are over....

And yes I ve been tempted to approach some of these owners to interest them in a friendly swap
