Drive Event $1000
For anyone who has ever used the $1000 drive event coupon (I believe all of them are the same based on what I've read), how has it worked?
I went to my local dealer during the mid November "end hunger" drive or something. The CA doesn't seem to want to give me the code, and keeps telling me it's only valid for their dealership and IN STOCK vehicle only. While I believe the BMW website did state it's valid for in stock vehicle only, I don't recall seeing it's only valid for the specific dealership. Additionally, I've had other dealers tell me if I can give them the code they will try to honor it. Any experience to share would be appreciated! |

It might be a dealership specific event. Check bmwusa for that exact event and see if it comes up

My question is more for anyone who has ever used this type of $1000 test drive event coupon before, and how it generally works. |

I used it.
Fine print says that to get $1k value, 1/2 is dealer contribution. So for me, it was only good for $500 that came from bmwna as I was already squeezing dealer pretty tight. |

Interesting, but has anyone tried to use it on a dealer you DIDN'T do the test drive event with? I'm trying to figure out if I'm really stuck with the dealer.

Although.. dealer contribution is required to get whole $1k. At least for me. |

Got it. Makes sense so I probably shouldn't expect that $1k if I'm going to negotiate hard... (at least 10% off MSRP before incentives).
