I just dropped my Z4M off today for the install and should be picking it up tomorrow evening. Ill try and take some pictures this weekend at M Fest and give my impressions.

Which Tein suspension did you get? I'm guessing a Flex or MonoFlex... I had both Flex and ComfortSport on my Acura with an EDFC and loved it, its a fun system.

Bad news. Apparently we were given the wrong setup for the z4m and BMS realized it before they tired installing it this morning. BMS was trying to work out a deal to become dealers for Tein BMW products and got it at a big discount, but apparently Tein is being difficult and not only gave us the wrong parts but isn't being cooperative about fixing their mistake. Consequently BMS isn't going to be a dealer and we are returning the set up. I will be getting a different suspension tho soon, likely motons!

Depends which one you buy. The TEIN SRC are some of the best coilovers out there. The Tein SSP are low cost economy street coilovers. You get what you pay for.
I wasn't aware that Tein made a coilovers for a Z4M. They only make the SSP for the regular z4 which does not fit the M. Last edited by silversprint; 09-13-2008 at 08:09 AM.. |

Supposedly they just came out with it in z4m fitment, and I got involved because BMS got to talking with Tein about becoming a distributor and BMS was going to get 2 sets to test fit on my car and Laidback's for Mfest. Sadly Tein wasn't able to send us the correct setup in time before Mfest, and now I'm thinking moton club sports.

Why are dealing with a second rate street setup. If you want to track the car the KW clubsports or the TCkline setup is the way to go on street/track car.
Motons are not for street car. They cost way too much to use for a street driven car that is not really a race setup. The KW clubsports are well dialed in. You can just use the KW suggested setting and drive the car. They come with camber plates and linear springs. I think only a pro driver in a race car would be faster on motons that KW clubsports and that is only if they were setup right. |

Yup i was so excited to test the TEIN's Coilover setup that i had to put on hold on the H&R coilovers I was suppose to test for H&R...And Chris@BMS told me the story and I ended up getting the H&R springs thru WheelPower (thanks to Jason for coming thru at a VERY short notice) to get the Z4MC ready for Mfest and I'm lovin' the H&R springs so far ...props to BMStuning.com and for TEIN...Btw you should come out to our meet on Oct. 5 2008 (sunday) at wheelpower inc. very close to your area from 8 a.m till...
