BimmerCode and OBD usb cable?

I'm planning on purchasing BimmerCode for my F30. I'm bummed that I purchase ProTool previously for my E82 but unfortunately ProTool doesn't work on F30's.
Here's my question, it seems that most BimmerCode users use a cordless OBD connector. However, I bought a OBD usb cable to use with my ProTool and my Samsung tablet. I was wondering if the cable should work with BimmerCode also?

Just buy a new one. They’re not expensive.

This is on the BimmerCode approved list and works great. It also has its own app included that can add all sorts of gauges including boost to your phone screen. Also does Performance clocking for things like 0-60 and 1/4 mile. Pretty cool!

I use the ENET cable w/RJ45 to lightning adapter

I got my vgate OBD wifi dongle for $30 off amazon. Does bimmercode, carista (carista is beta testing F30 customization and they contacted me to beta it!) and other OBD tools.

Yep, has to be an approved dongle.

I did a video on BimmerCode not too long ago. Used a VEEPEAK OBD Scan Tool that I bought from Amazon. Link is in my video description...
