Question X5M Individual Orders?

MY CA is telling me that the only "individual" colors that are going to be available for the X5 and X6 are the two that are on the order sheet. He said to go ahead and get my build in the system and then we can try to get an individual color. Based on previous years, I don't really remember seeing individual colors on the X cars so the Urban Green that was on the X6M may not be available. Ford did something similar on their Raptor. They debuted it using a blue that you was only available on the Ford GT.

Has anybody been able to put in an order for an individual color?

They will be available form 08/2020, that's when factory will be able to paint them.

I went to Oktoberfest last month and they had a 2020 X6M at the BMW Performance Center.

A lot of people were curious about the color which I thought was San Marino Blue but wasn't quite sure.

The BMW rep relented and called the paint shop because he didn't know, even though there was a BMW Individual sticker under the hood with no paint color name or code.

He stated it was Marina Bay Blue and I had completely forgot about the two new Priority 1 colors.

It is fantastic in natural sunlight. There were pops of green in it.

those are the optional 22/21 wheels for non-comp model, it seems regular 21's look better in design..at least to me.

That does not look like Marina Bay Blue.....MBB is close to Monte Carlo Blue on the M5 and not an "individual" color. The Individual Priority 1 Colors are Tanzenite Blue II and Ametrin Metallic.

This color pictured in Tanzenite Blue II

If you happen to be in LA, the new X5M is debuting at the LA Auto Show opening in the next week.

BMW Spartanburg Facility is not setup to paint special order color as the plants in Germany. That is why the X-series vehicles are limited in paint colors.

Finally a non-Competition X6 M, given the chrome side gills and grille surround.

It's a shame BMW doesn't even bother showcasing the non-Competition versions of its M models at all, as seen with the recent M8, X3M/X4M, X5M/X6M launches. As if these were only knock-off versions of the real deal and weren't worth any attention whatsoever. Actually in many countries non-Competition versions aren't even available for sale. When in reality a Competition version isn't simply a better rendition of the base version in each and every single aspect; it is better in certain aspects and worse in others such as riding comfort, plus there are visible styling differences, so it would only make sense to showcase all versions as a cohesive range that is equally valuable and appeals to a wide range of buyers for what each version is worth.

I'm hoping we will get the full individual program because a good purple/green or unique blue would really bring things together.

my top color choices:
Alpina Green (highly doubt BMW will let anyone order it)
Twilight Purple
British Racing Green
Purple Silk
Boston Green
Mexico Blue
Miami Blue
Mora Metallic

I mean I could go on for quite a while. I'd rather have a non grey scale color given how good they look. People are afraid to be bold with their individual colors sometimes but I say go all out.

Alpina colors are reserved for Alpina models only. As for other individual colors, BMW Spartanburg facility is not setup to do individual colors outside of the Individual colors offered on their products in that facility at this time. There have been talks of extending this starting later in 2020.

I'm curious how we can find out what individual options will be available and when we can order them. I'm assuming they'll make the list available early in 2020 so we can order ahead of time. Is there someone we can contact at BMWNA who might know?

The BMW rep called the paint shop across the street to confirm the color. It had a BMW Individual paint tag but no color name or paint code.

Could be one of the current existing Individual colors currently available. For example Tanzanite Blue is an individual color that is available there as is Sunstone and also Ametrin Metallic (plum looking color)
