I don't like my Remus!!

I've had the Remus exhaust system on my car with down pipes since August but I feel like it's not as loud and deep as I thought it would be. Would the AWE exhaust system be better? That was my other initial choice.

you need a system with resonators for it to sound deep. AWE is a good option, or just reinstall the factory midpipe.

I did have my resonators removed a while ago, should I get those installed back on and get after market ones? I'll just keep the remus and do that if it's easier.

How many resonators did you have?

Last i checked the N55 only has 1 resonator from the cat back.

AWE is definitely louder and more aggressive overall. A lot of the main vendors on here have partnerships with Remus which is why it's so heavily marketed. That doesn't mean it's not a good option, but it is definitely not sufficient for everyone. I've never seen a complaint that Remus is too loud or aggressive, only that it's too quiet. Usually the opposite for AWE.
Adding the resonator back will make it more refined and deeper, but slightly quieter as well.
With AWE, the volume is maximized with very minimal drone because they use helmholtz resonator technology as opposed to just a basic muffler like the others.
If you are ever in Los Angeles PM me and you can hear my AWE.

Damn okay wish I knew that ahead of time, I was set on the AWE but convinced to get the Remus by some other members. I'm probably gonna try to sell this one then, thanks for the advice.

It's basically a straight pipe to a huge valved suitcase muffler. Alot of BMW people like it because, for whatever reason, they like raspy exhausts that aren't that loud. For a deeper tone, you need a resonator and smaller muffler. I.e., the formula by AWE, borla, etc.

It seems that the Fabspeed catted dp sounds a bit deeper than the rasp of a catless dp

Hi,
Op Sorry to hear you do not like the REMUS system. Its personally my favorite

Do you have the catback or axle back?

AWE is louder but REMUS has a deeper tone to it.
