Just installed an aftermarket reversing camera to my F30 with NBT headunit.
I now need to do the coding, but only have Bimmercode.
I've been given the below instructions to code.

REM_01 > PdcParkMasterVar 3203 > RVC = wert_02
REM_01 > PdcVarCoding 3200 > PDC_VORHALT_2 = aktiv
HU_NBT > EXBOX 3001 > AUX1_IN_HU = wert_255 [Default]
HU_NBT > EXBOX 3001 > CAMERA_SYSTEM = trsvc
HU_NBT > EXBOX 3001 > MACRO_RV_C = aktiv
HU_NBT > EXBOX 3001 > TRSVC = wert_81

The problem is that there is no activ option on my car REM_01 > PdcVarCoding 3200 > PDC_VORHALT_2, it just says wert_01.

Does anyone know what I can do as I just have blank video coming through when I select reverse.

Don't know from where you've got these values, but the value
REM_01 > PdcVarCoding 3200 > PDC_VORHALT_2 = aktiv is not needed for the rear view camera.
This value stays the same with or without camera.

Thanks. The company I bought the aftermarket kit from said that one of their customers used those values with success. I'll put mine back to the default which was wert_01.

They advised coding 3AG via E-sys, but I don't have it and if their customer was able to get it working via Bimmercode then I'm hoping that I can too.

Yes. It's on a retrofit thread, but basically I uncoded what I had done in Bimmercode and left the car to shut down. Went back a few hours later and did the following coding in Bimmercode:-

REM_01 > PdcParkMasterVar 3203 > RVC = wert_02
HU_NBT > EXBOX 3001 > AUX1_IN_HU = wert_255 [Default]
HU_NBT > EXBOX 3001 > CAMERA_SYSTEM = trsvc

Did this specific camera you bought work only when you put the gear in reverse? Or does it also work when you push the pdc button?

It works when I press PDC too. I get all the options that I used to have on my previous BMW that had the factory kit.

You can code anything with Bimmercode in expert mode. That's what muffking did.

Okay nice ! So if I buy any kind of reverse camera, I can code it using the same codes that muffking used ?

That's a solid "probably" haha. If you have a much newer or older i-step level the FDL codes may be slightly different, plus there's no guarantee that every aftermarket backup camera functions 100% the same.

This is why it's always "better" to use a tool like e-sys to add the 3AG option code which will automatically apply the appropriate FDL coding. Look/post in the local forums to see if anyone in your area has e-sys and can trade you their time in exchange for a 6 pack or something.
