Keep shutters open when car is off

Does anyone know how to keep the louvers/shutters open when the car is turned off? I'm trying to get behind them.

What are you trying to get back there for? If you're taking the grilles off you don't need them to be open

There is no way to leave them open. To get to the support bars behind you will likely need to remove the front air flaps and access it that way. Are you looking to paint them or remove them or something? Not much room to get through even when the flaps are open.

Want to wrap them. If they are open it's just enough room to work with.

You must have some 3 year old hands or something because I can't even fit my hand in there..... good luck I guess.

Since people do change their grills, why don't you just take them off fully?

The grills would clearly be take off. The shutters would then need to remain open to get to the support braces.

There was never intended to be done WITH the grills on.

Oh, well if you are going to remove the grills, you can easily just remove the linkage pin and swivel the shutters as you please.

I agree that with the grill off you can reach your whole hand in past the shutter.

AHhh - sorry my bad - I didn't know the shutters were separate to the grills :-/

Probably another stupid idea but just in case - surely the shutters are driven by an electrical signal, my reasons being if you get a volt meter on the input you could determine what makes them open then spoof it?
