turbo questions

can you have a twin scroll turbo without a divided inlet? I bought a 6266 CEA and it says it's a t4 tangential, does that mean it's not twin scroll?

In theory, you could have twin scrolling without a divided inlet on the turbo as long as the exhaust pipe routing up to the turbo is divided so that the appropriate cylinders were combined. The twin streams might still impact the impeller at slightly displaced locations and you'd get the benefit of higher turbine inlet energy due to exploitation of exhaust pressure waves.

But I'm fairly sure that the word 'divided' should appear if 'twin-scroll' is intended by the manufacturer. I believe that 'tangential' is irrelevant to the issue of 'divided' i.e. you could have tangential (which is about housing offset) divided or non-divided.

That said, I've never worked with a big single and don't have first hand knowledge. Hopefully a more experienced poster will chime in
