Recoding ABS controller

My wife’s car (weekender) developed the ABS, brake, DSC light about 2 years ago. Passes inspection in Texas with ABS fault. Drove fine.
It is a 2007 335i convertible, 49,000 original owner miles. Finally pulled ABS pump and controller and sent off to Module Masters for rebuild.
Installed yesterday and somehow it needs recoding. I read it happens. Wipers came on, airbag fault, Service Engine light, plus the original three faults. Drove it, drives fine but no speedometer, and turn signals are not canceling. Scanned with iCarsoft scanner and getting a lot of codes. All new.
Is there an option besides the dealer for recoding the ABS controller? Read on diy forum about unplugging and all lights go away. Rather fix it.
