Low Oil and Turbos relation
2009 E90 335i N54 automatic
There was an indicator to add a qt of oil 3k miles ago and so I did. Now, I get the same prompt. The car has close to 80k miles on it and I suspect the turbos may be going out. Can failing turbos cause excessive oil consumption or is there a leak I should be worried about ?

I am wondering to. My turbos smoke and my oil consumption based on the E gauge seems to be less than before I had smoking issues.... I don't understand. This damn oil gauge scares me.

when you say the 'My turbos smoke' where do you see the smoke coming from ?
The reason I suspect my turbos was because the dealership suggested that the howling noise coming from the turbo indicates that its on its way out.
