Ground wire for backup camera on E93

Hi all,

I have a trunk backup camera and I need a ground. I am looking at this harness that plugs into the RR backup light.

On the left is the harness side, and the right is the connector to the light. Typically I'd say brown is the ground but the two browns don't connect. My gut says center wire is ground, but thought someone could help me out. Thanks!

Don't guess!!
1. Use newtis to check your car's exact wiring diagram.
eg. here's the link for a e93 335i
https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/e...-light/lynjIv0

2. Confirm with a multimeter that the pin you think is ground, is actually ground.

I think I'm reading this wrong, none of these colors match what I see in the pic: https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/e...lights/apJiaOH
