Hey all,

New owner here (2008 328XI, Premium Package). I checked my VIN and BMW states that I have the BMW Assist with Bluetooth.

I've been searching online all over but can't seem to find any resolution or direction.

I do have the SOS button on the headliner, however when I press the "Menu" button I do not have a Phone, Tel, or Bluetooth option. I was told if I hold down the phone button on the steering wheel will work...is this true? I'm assuming my vehicle is equipped with it, do I need something like Carly to enable this feature?

Options have to be installed for them to work .
All the steering wheels have the same buttons weather
the options or installed or not.

To see which options are installed use a Vin checker such as
Mdecoder google it.

Also you should check to see which if any modules for bluetooth
sat and usb are installed in the car under the trunk floor behind
the rear passenger seats.

If this stuff was working you would see the telephone symbol on your radio
or idrive screen.
