Serious Failure at 382,000...

God damned driver's cup holder broke last night

The AK-47 magazine needs reloading.

Watch out for the rubber alignment nipple at the back of it, break something back in there that causes rattles and you'll really want to cube the car.

I have CCV and starter to replace too.

Parting out? I’ll take the passenger side interior door handle as mine is FUBR like everyone else’s.

I have this problem now. This nipple goes into a hole in the glovebox assembly and my alignment hole snapped off. And there's no rubber on the nipple. Combined with worn motor mounts, I have a REALLY ANNOYING rattle at idle. So far the 12" subwoofer I added does a decent job of masking the rattle.

Sounds a bit extreme to replace a cupholder.
That's a Volvo that you hang a bowling ball or handbag from the glovebox. Need a new passenger-side mat?

YES, he does all his own work!! What I'd like to know is: If "F30" has put nearly 400,000 miles on that car (one of MULTIPLE) in 13 years, how does he ever find time to maintain it?

It doesn't need that much maintenance... you've not been listening

I knew putting the t-out bearing sleeve back in was going to bite me in the ass one day. But it was December 31th, and no local dealers had it in stock. I needed to get the car back together (i.e. wife was pressuring me to spend some time with her).

George, serious question... have you ever taken apart a BMW interior mirror? I'm trying to find out if the mirror head can be removed from the base (i.e. separate the ball joint without destroying it).

I know most people hate the E90 cup holders. I like them; keeps a drink away from the shifter. Remember, I went from an E30 (after 18 years) to the E90, so...

I like the location of them, but hate the execution. Literally every time I go around a corner the cup in there leans and almost falls out.

I use mine with a 10 oz. Starbucks tumbler. I just drink water. It's the size of a soda can, fits perfect.

Thanks for finding out the meaning of OP's screen name. It made no sense to me until now.
