Windshield washer fluid leak?

Trying to figure out where this leak could be coming from, seems like it's. My washer fluid since it's green but not sure. Anybody have this type of issue?

If its your washer fluid it'll be coming from the passenger side fender off the end of the rocker panel, if you have headlight washers there's also a possibility it'll be coming from one of the sides of the front bumper. There's multiple ways washer fluid can leak

Mine leaks. I sometimes have a small puddle by the front passenger wheel.

The washer fluid lines connect to the tank through removable filters with rubber gaskets that can leak. The filters are cheap and changing them is relatively easy. I had 3 filters for the lines to the windshield washers, rear window washer, and headlight washer. Non-wagons will have two and cars without headlight washers will just have one. The fluid will all spill out when you remove the filters so have new fluid on hand.

On the color: OEM BMW washer fluid and coolant are both blue, although either could be green if aftermarket.

I've had washer fluid leaks 3 times, all different pieces - the main pump in the reservoir and each of the headlight washer nozzles. The pumps are pretty cheap for aftermarket - I got a Febi from FCP Euro and it's been fine for several years. There is a second pump for the headlight washers and probably a third for the rear window on wagons. No aftermarket available for the headlight washer nozzles and they're around $100 each. Good videos on YouTube on how to replace all of these.

I have the same issue. Anybody has pictures of what to expect there and what needs to be replaced (filters)?

the only leak I've had is from the little washer pump that is easy to replace. There is a little rubber seal inside the pump that the motor shaft has to pass through to drive the pump...it wears and allows fluid past into the electric motor and out ...usually down the side skirt to in front of the back tire.

It's a common annoyance for me. Always shows up on passenger side front wheel. Easy fix, however annoying nonetheless.

I wouldn't do the JB Weld repair unless you want to be back. A lot of reports that this doesn't last. The pump is only $8 (https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...mp-67127302589). For the amount of time you spend taking it apart and putting it back together, it's worth replacing. Add $5 if you want to replace the grommet/strainer while you're in there.
