BMW 330xi Radio problem, swapped professional radios NOW NO SOUND
Hello I just bought a 2006 BMW330XI. The pixels on the professional radio are basically all gone. The aux works the radio works. I was doing some service on the car at the old shop I used to work at and their happened to be a junk 2009 328I with a professional radio. I was given the opportunity to have this radio for free, so I pulled it out of the 2009 and plugged it into my 2006. It powered up and functioned but NO SOUND. Upon further inspection I realized the new radio had XM radio and an extra plug on the back. I know you can code these to work but I just want a working radio doesn’t matter to me. So I unplugged it and plugged the original WORKING Radio back in…..and it powers on but has no sound. I checked the fuses, disconnected the battery for 15 minutes. I ended up purchasing a used professional radio with a good screen with the same P/N. I figured it would be plug and play but now my original unit doesn’t work. ANY IDEAS why these happened?
